Hobbywing 80A Truck ESC Question - 01.28.2009, 08:02 PM

Hey guys I have one of these speedys I picked up second hand, will it be adequate for a MM 36-60-2200 in a E-Maxx on 4s?

Also the cable to the receiver, the magnet has broken off and is gone, and I need to resolder one of the wires as well, will this present a problem? I will be running a Spektrum radio.

80amp esc is barely adequate- it will work, but keep a close eye on temps (a fan would be good, but dont let BrianG know).

You shouldnt need the RF surpressing magnet ring with a spektrum radio, just do a good job on re-soldering the damaged wire, avoid a short circuit or bad connection a all costs.

The 80amp HW controller has a big fan on it already and should handle the 60mm Medusa motor fine.
