I'm buying a Savage that needs a motor rebuild for under 150. I figure that that .25 will make a cool-looking paperweight. Anyway, I was telling the owner my plans and he says he has an Aveox RC7 brushless motor and an ESC that he'd sell me. There is 0 info on the site about it, and a search on google turned up very little info. All I know is that it's got sensors but can be run sensorless (dunno if this is how all sensored bls work, as I've only dealt with sensorless). It seems like it'd be a massive torque monsterbut I'm looking for at least 45mph. I can always play with gearing, I'd just like to know if this would be an ok motor.

Most likely the RC7 is too fast and not powerful enough for a Savage. I believe they also use smaller 1/8" shafts, and I have read a couple of times about the shaft breaking.

Yeah, it's an 1/8th inch shaft. Ok, I'll probably skip it.
