MMM V3 dead? :( - 02.07.2009, 10:07 AM

Hey everyone..i was just messing around with my MMM combo; drove over my friends rustler at low speed. Then the truck just went dead. (E-Revo)

The ESC wont turn on any more.. no sounds, beeps nothing

The ESC still connects to Castlelink but thats it.

Could it be the switch?

Will Castle Creations still warranty the ESC if I cut the switch and try to connect the wires together? (I still have warranty papers etc)

Help :|

sounds like it could be a switch. or it could just be plain dead.

cutting off the switch does not void the warranty. :)

If it happened right when you drove over your mate's Rusty, then it sounds like it might just be the ESC switch. They're a little delicate, and that kind of bump might have damaged it. Try removing the switch and just soldering the two wires together. If it still doesn't work then it might be something more sinister, but it's definitely worth making sure it's not the switch first.

Dead MMMs usually won't connect to the CastleLink, so I'm betting it's just the switch or a dodgy soldering joint on your batt connectors.

Ill cut the switch now; Im on summer break right now and waiting a month and a half for a replacement would pretty much ruin my holiday haha

Check all connectors. Make sure there is no black spots on your bullets etc
