Question Medusa / Castle / Neu???? - 02.09.2009, 09:15 AM

Hey, after my last few threads, I am finding that in the hot Aussie summer, if I run my Medusa without the fan/heatsink it still gets to 150 after 15 mins.

I have been eyeing out these Castle / Neu motors (Neu 1515/2D/F) and they seem to have a heatsink on the can already

so am I to assume my standard LRP Brushless Cooling heatsink won't fit? Will these motors get hotter than 150 then?

Given the climate here, I'd like to assist with cooling as much as I can, but from what I can see, I don't know if these motors even allow that?

or am I off the mark?

150 after 15 minutes at 90+ is pretty good.An open canned Neu would run cooler, though. If your Medusa was fine with the heatsink, why not put it back on?

I intend to, but it seems the Neu motor can't run with an add on heatsink right? In that case would that make it more prone to hotter temps given the climate here
