I may be hitting the battery a bit hard.

It's the 6S Zippy H 5000MAh pack. 20C-30C

So they hit 3.2v/cell at 38c burst? Not bad really, did you pull a temp from the pack at any time?

No, just used the hand-o-meter. It was barely warm. The motor temped at 117, and the pack wasn't near that, I'd say maybe 100 - 105?

Just a bit of an amendment to what I said before. I've got the Zippy H 6S 5000MAh pack.

So I wasn't pulling 38C, it was more like 30.8C, which makes me feel a lot better, and also explains much better why the battery was that cool under that kind of load. At any rate, it's a stupid fast setup with boatloads of power that runs cool. What more could a person want? :)

Good one jzemaxx. I would love to see how your HW esc does on the long run as they are basically similar to the MMM. If they don't go out like the MMM, then Castle has to look at what is causing them to fail.

Well we ran the HW150A last night with the CC/Neu 2200 on 6S for around 30 mins doing some speed runs gearing the piss out of it....54/24. Never gave up!!!....did get a little hot though.

Any idea what kind of speeds you get, and which gearing are you using?
I'm asking this because I'm also converting a LST, (Actually same as Aftershock) the only thing I need are the batteries. I also have a MMM 2200kv combo, and will run it on 6S.

I believe that I'm geared 24/66 and the speed is in the 40mph+ range. Plenty fast for my use. I was launching it into outer space with 5S; I can't even imagine how high/far I'd get with the current setup. :)

Nah, your not hitting the pack hard. You're only using 9 amps on average. I average about 18 amps with my 2650 motor in my 8ight and I am easy on the throttle. Wait until you gear high enough until it takes 50 amps just to maintain a constant speed. Then you are really testing your pack!

That 9A on average is misleading, because there's a fair bit of dead time in the graph that you don't see...it's averaging your draws over your total runtime. I don't pay attention to it. I look to see where the middle is between the peak and the bottom, that's a more useful average draw. This setup looks to take around 50A - 60A to maintain a constant speed, I just need a large enough space to test it!
