Hello.
Are unsure about what medusa motor I should buy for my Jammin X1Crt.

I have read some in here but have not really been wiser on which one it should be.

I had first thought and buy a 80mm 2200Kv but is unsure now!
Esc is HW 150A 4-5s LiPo Pinion 14,16,18!
Hope you can help me!

The Medusa 36-80-2000 motor on 5s works great in my Xray XT8 truggy, geared 48/12. Gives me around 35mph speeds.

Okay, have you tried to run 4s?
My spurgear is 62T is 14T pinion fine with it.
I only have 4s currently!

Yep, that's fine. That puts you at about 35mph with an average truggy sized tire. You could even go up to the 16T if you want a bit more speed on 4S (~40mph).

okay so 2200kv is too much

No, not at all. The 2200kv will work excellent on 4S geared 14:62 (~39mph). There's really not going to be a whole lot of difference between the two motors. If you only plan on always running 4S, go with the 2200kv. If you plan on running 5S primarily, go with the 2000kv.

okay, if it run fine with 4s, I see no reason for 5s.
It would only be if it gave more power

%s is better than 4s. 4s in a truggy with the larger/heavier tires will require very good lipos. With 5s you can get away with a lower rated pack. I generally think that a 4s setup in a mt/truggy needs a cell capable of at least 150amps cont. On 5s you can drop down to a cell with specs around 120amps cont.

Now I want to buy a Medusa, but I do not know if i have to buy the 3670 with 1600KV or the 3680 with 1600 KV.

Okay, my battery is a Hyperion VX 14.8 V 3700mah 25/40C
must have a LiPo more, it must be a 5s then

I would be perfectly comfortable putting a 36-70-1600 in a truggy. 80mm will run a touch cooler, but the 70 should handle it just fine. I'm planning on picking upa 36-70-1600 myself in the next month or so. My Tekno Neu will be going an an E-Maxx and the Medusa in my Revo, both on 5s

I have 36-80-2200 in my truggy with 4S lipos, and gearing 14/52 and its running great, havent been able to test it on track yet.
Im going to test it with 17/52 gearing also, to see how fast it goes...
Also im thinking about upgrading my lipos to 5S or 6S for bashing, as 4S is barely enough for that.

I m running a 36x70mm 2000kv more than enough, medusa advise 70 is better for truggy 80 is for heavier trucks n is overkill in truggy drain more batt
