In all honesty it was one of "you guys" that caught it...wrote me an email, and I had that "oh @#$%" look on my face when I saw it. Got it changed within 5 minutes literally. The only problem with putting up a bulletin is where do you put it??? Sending it out to vendors won't do any good IMO as most don't know what the rating on the products they sell are anyways (the good ones like Mike do though and we LOVE that). Those that visit the site for the first time won't know the difference. Those that know our products I would hope know that it was an error, those that wrote me an email or called were informed, etc. Really nowhere to put it on the site...

And guys, I'll be the first one to say that I run my stuff out of warranty each and every time. Cars/planes/helis/boats...whatever...all out of warranty by far. Always have, always will, BUT I am always happy to pay for repairs when I was the cause of the failure. ;) PS...if you haven't figured it out...that video I put up on post 31...the ESC and motor are MOST DEFINITELY being run out of warranty. I run my stuff for a few minutes at a time to keep everything from overheating, and in the case of my pylon planes, I run 3x the recommended current through a motor but only do it for 55-60 seconds (the length of a race), then shut down and put a fan blowing on the motor. Treat your stuff well and it will last a LONG time. Treat it the way I do, and it'll fail...maybe not the first run, but eventually...and it won't be pretty when it happens.

Yeah it was there for a while but I was working on 6 * 3.7 * 2650 = 58k so figured you were good - I know at 4.2 you get 68... but given bearings are for a 100k figured you thought it was fine...

As you say it is all about application and gearing - 6s on a buggy geared for 40 with airflow is probably fine - E-revo on 6s geared for 65 on mashers with no airflow = silly warantee claim...

I bought a 2650 from Mike so it should be here by friday By the way thanks Mike.I allready have a Neu 1515/1.5d and I love it on 4s.More than enough power in my backyard bash zone.I allready have the 2200 Neu Castle that I have been running on 4s and geared properly its plenty fast.

I was not refering to anything stated in any other post nor was I referring to anything to do with a warranty. I mentioned my setup ONLY because 5s is still higher than the rated maximum voltage according to the website, but yields roughly the same fraction of power as the motor size ratio between the 2650 and 2200. In fact I remember another previous post from patrick which stated the 2650 is a 1,000 watt motor and the 2200 is a 1250 watt motor. That makes sense because the 2650 internals are about 4/5 the length of the 2200, and 5/6 is not that far off. So if the 2200 is advertised as 6s capable, it makes sense that the 2650 could be advertised for 5s, given the same amp draw for both motors (according to the website, both motors are rated for 120 amps anyways). The fact that it is not rated for up to 5s, requires a more detailed explaination - more than rpm and size differences.

If it is true that the 2650 found from testing can easily run into problems on 5s, more so than the 2200 on 6s, THEN the 2650's 4s rating would make sense, but not from a 100% theoretical engineering perspective alone.

P.S. Even though I told you to change the the limit to 5s, I do not rule earth so you don't have to listen to me. But if you do decide to change the limit, I guess I will have to re-read those posts in order to return the favor!

I received my Neu/CC 2650 yesterday and will be using it in my SC8E.Its a little longer than my 1512/1.5d and shorter than 1515/1.5d.My 2200 has run flawlessly on 4s 6000 and heat has never been a issue.My SC8E is lighter than a truggy but heavyer than a buggy so I think the 2650 should work great on 4s.Is the 2650 a wye wind like the 2200?My MMM timing is set at 5 degrees for the 2200 in the SC8E.All the snow is melted so its time to play outside.
