That chassis looks sturdy with the 2 huge ribs. I also like the motor mount at the back. Looks like it is designed for motor brakes only.

Looks cool. I like the solid center driveshaft inplace of the center diff.

its still has a "center" diff it just it located right off the rear cases. Mike is doing a verison like this for the hyper 9 that uses the stock chassis...it more centrally locates the motor and im sure itll look more refined than that...

Seems like a fairly crude and shameless copy of mike's mounts, even w/ the key for a hex wrench for the pinion. Should be tough tho. My hyper st is the toughest thing I own. Had for a >year and swear to god have not broken a thing. crt.5 is the 2nd plce finisher, then the savage, then the revo, then the rustler. no wait, rustler broke less than revo I think...certainly $$$ wise :)

I second that on sticking w/Mike's goods!
Most of the manufactures could take a less or two from Mike on what the definition of QUALITY components are
1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

I have been waiting for this. Bugging my lhs to order me one as soon as they are available. Was even tempted to order the ebay one from Hong Kong but the U.S ones should be here by the end of the month.
Now I just need tekin to get the rx8's out and I will be back into 8th scale.

Didnt look hard enough. Thought it was the same design as most 1/10 4wd buggys are with a solid center shaft.

FYI
HoBao/ OFNA Hyper 9 Plus 6 Chassis
HoBao has released a new chassis for the Hyper 9 that lengthens the rear section by 6mm. The chassis comes with an extended rear driveshaft and chassis/ diff case gaskets.

Over on the OFNA board, one of the OFNA guys said it would be available in the US at the end of April, so that means end of May probably, but at least its close.
I personally love the layout. Definitely considering giving it a try.
BTW: Original Buy It Now price on that Auction was $550.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
