I personally love the layout. Definitely considering giving it a try.

BTW: Original Buy It Now price on that Auction was $550.
Yeah I emailed the guy and thats the price he gave me. straight buy not through ebay was $517 plus shipping.

One way or another I will be racing this car this summer.Hopefully my lhs can get me a little better price though.

Yea, the hyper 9 is only $450 something at Nitrohouse.com the last time I checked. No reason for this to be more expensive. I dont want it anyway until I can get replacement parts for it in the US anyway. Nothing more useless than a car your affraid to drive hard cuz you cant get some of the replacement parts for it. Shouldnt be to long now.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

One of mikes original RC8 designs was similar to this but the centre diff was offset just a little too much and the rear linkage heated up to much...

Wouldn't suprise me if Mike didn't have a v2 up his sleeve :)

I love the layout of the E-Hyper 9. I'd definitely be getting one of those if I didn't already have lots of replacement parts for my 8ight. Instead I forsee getting an E-8ight 2.0 and selling off the esc/motor combo.

E-CRT.5 Monster - RCM chassis, MM/Medusa 50x3300/3s, truck tires, 1/8 shocks
E-CRT.5 Stock - Sidewinder/4600/2s, buggy tires
E-8ight - Tekin RX8 2000kv/4S
E-8ight T- Tekin RX8 1700kv/5S

that was my other option. I had an 8ight and sold it. Since 8th scale electric looks like its going to kick off this year I wanted to get back in.

At least the design has been made for large lipo pack.

I'm still waiting for an Hypothetical factory made 808E.
Asssuming they take there time to design it I hope that truly build a 1/8 scale for electric use.
Bath tub chassis, ball diff (yes xray can do it), ultra light chassis . Basically a 1/10 4wd on stéroïds !
