maxamps pulled a coup and got the traxxas loyal with it -

Steve Slayden is now a factory driver for maxamps, Which means, if God (Slayden) runs it the traxxas loyal will run it
Just so you know, I have no beef with maxamps. I liked their products, till they nearly doubled in price
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Hahahahahahaha, thats good linc. I also don't have any problems with Steve Slayden. I met him and feel he is a good ambassador to the hobby, but he is God on the traxxas forums

WOW! Big business booster for MaxAmps for sure! Good job capturing the market. However, Zippy has a heavy presence in the traxxas forums. There's a couple MaxAmps pushers. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

I have no issues with him either, he is just trying to make a buck like the rest of us. I am sure the maxamps sponsorship will produce some good press for brushless. At least it looks like MA have revamped their line, maybe their overpriced lipos can compete now...

I am sure the kids like zippies, they are cheap! For 9/10 of the electric users zippy lipos are perfect... Plus the price is right.

Now the Traxxas Nazis are going to give you a ban if you say anything bad about MaxAmps and not allow any talk of Zippy batteries... LOL

I highly doubt that. Steve Slayden is not a Traxxas employee, just an endorsed driver. The easiest way though to alleviate any worry over it is to not visit the Traxxas forums. I glance at them periodically to check the market place and if there is something I am looking for but that is it. I find that helps me more than anything else.
On the flip side, I am sure this well only serve to elevate Jason's ego even further.

Ok so maxamps now have the team driver for traxxas, who are a bit light in the dept of racing 1/8 scale buggies and truggies, let alone e-conversions for said race vehicles. So we will see some sort of emaxx/erevo spec series? Or bandits on the 1/10 2wd circuit? Kinda funny.

So now maxamps advertises their packs as waterproof and looks to have jacked up the prices again.

If they can sell batteries, more power to them... Just wish that more people knew about other packs, such as Zippy. I convinced one of my friends to go with Zippy over the way more expensive LHS pack. He loves it, job well done!

I still frequent there. But I sure do a lot of yelling to "USE THE DAMN SEARCH FUNCTION!!!" And then the wimps cry, "Why couldn't you just answer the question instead of arguing to search it".... Pansies!!!
