LOSI LST conversion plan - 05.11.2009, 08:33 AM

I am a conversion plan in LST of LOSI.
I have MGM16024 and Tekno RC Edition Neu 1515/2.5D/Q.
http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=3582

Please teach the conversion method that I am the cheapest, and is simple.

Cheapest is to make your own mount and use the 2 speed pinion adapter that is sold here on rc-monster.

You can also look at the square motor mounts for use on nitro conversions at impakt rc if you don't want to make your own.

Or the more expensive but very nice route would be products made by the dude.

Plus "the dude" is a great guy who is very concerned with customer service. If you join lst forums and go to their custom conversion area there is a ton of info on his motor mounts and other parts he offers. All of the prototyping and testing was done on that forum. Lost of good info.

I use his motor mount and single speed hub. I also have a colleted pinion adapter that he made. All well made and finished parts.

I just received an LST2 roller today from another member and it has the TDR single speed hub and the collet pinion adapter. These are two very well made products and after seeing these I will say they are well worth the money. I spent 5 years running a machine shop and can tell you these are top notch and I doubt he is making much off of them.

I too would recommend using The Dude's parts I have his motor mount, single speed, and colleted pinion adapter. All are top quality parts and he is great with customer service.

He does batches of them to keep the prices down, plus he farms out some of the work, and finishes them up himself on his own equipment. Great guy, if you want to throw an idea for something at him he will definitely give it thought...

Yeah, he needs to be on the "good online seller" list for sure!

I could help but find the humor in someone going by bad karma talking about good customer service....

Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was good for a smile.

I figured he did batches. I still know though that there is several hours in each piece and I can't see any flaws on it. I just know machinists are everywhere but good ones are hard to find. I think I will be ordering his motor mount as well so I get exactly what I want. I bought the LST2 off Twztd(sp) and he has a homemade motor mount on it for a KB458XL and while it is beefy and functional it is not quite what I want.

2 years ago when I was hiring an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer I could not believe the garbage I got for resumes. I swear if people had looked at a CNC Machine in a magazine they sent me their resume. I got a great guy in the end though.
