Which 1/8 buggy to get - 06.07.2009, 08:21 PM

Hey guy's thinking of getting a new buggy.I have a losi 8 that i bought
used about 2 years ago.Raced it for a while and bashed it to.But as you
know they dont last long ,parts wear out.I was thinking about the new
losi 2.0 buggy or the associeted rc8.Every car that i have own was used.
this time i want a new ride that is tight and has that new car smell,HA,HA!
What do you guys think, witch car is the better one,one that i can race
that is durable and can get parts easy.

This depends on what other people run at your track and what your LHS stores. Now that the RC8B is out, you should be able to get a new RC8 cheap and the differences are not huge.

My vote is for the RC8B if you're running on a large track

You really cant go wrong with either of the two buggy's you listed . But i have found that the losi seems to be the more popular buggy at the tracks in my area. I would say which ever buggy is supported better in your area HS & at the local tracks is the buggy to get .

An alternative to what you listed above would be the HB D8. It is cheaper than some of the other kits and it has been getting great reviews. I personally own a mbx-5 and love it.....which I run a mmm esc w/a 1512 Neu on 5s and it flies. The new mbx-6 is said to be outstanding as well

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

If you are looking for a witch buggy, try going to Salem, Mass. If trying to decide which buggy to get, just pick the one your local track or shop has parts for.
