I remember it well. First, there was the occasional hiccup where the site was unavailable that got more frequent. Then, it was down for several days (where everyone had to go find somewhere else to hang out). Then, it came back online, but in a temporary form; no old posts and everyone had to sign back up again. After a while, Mike was able to retrieve the old database into (using a data recovery service) and create the forum again. And even then there were things that were still "broken" for a while. And then there was a link to the "temp" forum to see the posts that came in while it was up. What a mess. It's those times I'm glad I'm not Mike!

That sounded like a super cool option, one I've never seen a forum make possible. If it sounds to good to be true, probably is. Thanks.

It's really pretty simple; just a matter of selecting a different CSS file. It's just a PITA to get it set up and make it look the same in all browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc).

You're missing the point. This thread is like 3 years old. We did have the option to change skins, then the server crashed and we lost it.

I thought all hope was lost..? I doubt it was one of Mike's priorities anyways. Still, it would be cool.
Hey Bondo you're still fired...
