My Lx One - 06.26.2009, 09:52 PM

Got an Lx One real cheap so decided to convert it to BL.

I used a second steering brace mounted on steering posts to make the rear of the buggy more stiff.

I used to Hyper9e battery tray (which is good to hold up to 5s packs)

I used the Traxxas mount to install the Mamba Monster ESC on a Plexiglas plate.

Need to find a better way to locate the receiver's antenna.

Motor is the 2200kv with 15t pinion (stock spur is 48t ??) running on Zippy's 4s 25c 5000mah after 10min the ESC was at 115f, lipo pack was at 95f and motor at 155f ( too hot for me) Should I go with a bigger pinion (16t) to have the motor running cooler ??

Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

That does look very nice. I like the layout as well but the steering upper plate on the back of the truck threw me off for a minute.

I'll change it later on for one of the original color.

Like the layout.

Just wonder if have a problem with nose diving off jumps? I have an LX1 also with ezrun150 and workig on a new motor since the last one the motor screws stripped. I am also running the nylon spur which is a 51 tooth and 13t pinion. Also, i fear my motor mount is bent forward after a hard crash that stripped the screws.

Did you need to space the motor mount up for the spur you run?

H9e battery tray! How did you get it fit? drilled extra holes in the chassis and countersunk them?

I don't have any nose diving at all. I'm currently running with the stock metal spur gear and no needs to space the motor mount.

So weird that i have the nosing over problem, I have my gear and batteries located to the rear of the car and it gets a great bit of drive. I had to use a spacer for the nylon spur to fit properly in my lx1 but had to space the motor plate in my ultra so that it would all line up and not bind.

Are you using drag brake? If yes this might be the problem
