neither.
if you want one of the best batteries out there, get this one:
http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...cing_Lipo_Pack
it is an enerland polyquest battery. it is a perfect fit in the slash.
They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

I thought the slash battery tray was only 160mm long (with spacer removed). The battery you suggested is 163.5mm long.

well, hobbycity has a 4400mah version of that pack that shouldn't be as long.

hmmmm, well, if you want a good battery that is better than maxcramps but not as good as polyquest, this one is DIRT cheap
http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store..._15C_Lipo_Pack
it is mislabeled as a 15c, but it is a 20c-30c battery. it is a relabeled zippy flightmax 20c. it has the same cells, but bigger output leads. i have the zippy flightmax 25c 5000mah 3s packs and they don't break a sweat in my rustler or my bl savage.

Buy Maxamps, and make sure you get that warranty, you'll need it....
That Turnigy pack will be more than necessary in a Slash. You aren't talking about a amp hungry machine.

What about these? They're TrueRc batteries, and seem pretty decent for the price. I have some batteries from them in my BL Erevo, and they preform very well. Any thoughts? Its the 4000mAh 11.1V 3S1P 15C pack, you have to scroll down the page about half way.

the turnigy lipo is better than the truerc pack. the spc batts are pretty good and are about even or maybe even a little than the turnigys. the spc batteries don't have quite the punch that the turnigys have, but they stay balanced a little better.

I say get anything but maxamps. The zippys are great for a budget, but since you were looking at overpriced maxamps, then you could get a real nice polyquest, Neu, hyperion, Flightpower, or thunder power battery. Check em all out.

G3 hyperion if you want the best at a decent price.
Otherwise go with the zippy/turnigy packs. 3s and 2wd 10th scale is pretty easy on lipos, anything around 5000mah and 20c will perform great.
I was thinking that I could buy a bunch or the turnigy packs, fix the construction issues, and seal them up so that they are watertight. Then sell them for 10 bucks less than maxamps do and make a fortune. I could even advertise crazy specs, and do some graphs that compare maxamps with my "pimpy packs". I could even offer a great warranty, since I was marking packs up 300% it would not be difficult to replace stuff free of charge. Hell, I may have money left over to advertise in some mags and on the commercial forums...
