Whats the difference? - 01.14.2006, 01:25 AM

I'm interested in getting one of the combo deal but not sure which one?
1. What would be the advantage with getting the 12020/9l over the 9920/9l combo?
2. I'm going to be running 12 cells most of the time so would it make a big difference? I have 6 spider diffs and a strobe setup with an11lb truck. I have a thread in the presales section with a pic of truck.

Just a higher amp capacity other than that they should be similar

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

there just alike except that the 9920 can handle 99 amps and the 120 can handle 120 amps. running 12 cells i would go with the 120 because a lower cell count and high kv will draw more amps than a high cell count and low kv.

With the 9L you are more than save with the 9920 already. You really don't need to get the 12020. really no reason to do this, unless....

Unless you are planning on upgrading someday, you are able to use a bigger motor on the 12020 than on the 9920.. even a 2240 or a 2250 would be okay on a 12020 (if the KV is not too high)

So for future upgrades, i would take the 12020 and if you are not planning on upgrading at all, you are on the save side with the 9920.

You don't need no Ubec either on 12 cells. (like you asked in the previous post)

and welcome to the forum bytheway!
