G2R Question -
01.13.2006, 11:50 AM
Im building a G2R and read on this forum that i either have to turn the revo diffs upside down or reverse the motors/trans. Is there any benefits of doing one or the other? Im using the stock e-maxx motors for now. Thanks!

It would just be beneficial if you kept the weight distribution equal throughout the truck. Otherwise no real benefit.

Thank You Squee!!! I have two revos, I saw the G2R and had to try a revo/emaxx. Im not too familiar with electric/emaxx, but im can tell im gonna get addicted. I was waiting all day for an answer so i can move on with the build. Thanks again

I have a G2R and i run the tranny backwards I also run the esc over the rear shocks it helps the rear weight distributionif you have a BL system you just move two wires and you're set
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Thanks for the tips crazy. I plan on going brushless when the tax money comes in. I havent dealt much with elec yet, whats a good BL system that will make my G2R insanely fast?

'insanely fast' what is insane in your eyes?
Promod is at a 70mph and still thinks he needs more speed, normally 40-45 mph is pretty insane for a monstertruck.
For this (40 mph) 14cells and a 9L would be enough.
You might consider stepping up to lipo though, this puts your truck on another level in acceleration and handling.

One more Q. On rc monster home page they have the Jan special 12020/L brushless combo deal for 300. Would this be a good route to go for a G2R, and is it a good deal?

Yes that should be good, if i were to choose a motor out of the 3, id choose a 10L.
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL
