best place to get parts for mini ste? - 08.06.2009, 03:36 PM

i'm most likely getting a mini hyper ste soon and after searching around online, i cannot find replacement parts for the mini ste. the crt .5 isn't hard to find parts for, so why is the ste?

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

ok, now i am looking for different tires for the hyper ste. i plan on using standard 2.2 tires since the ste uses a 12mm hex. the stock tires are too small IMHO and they will wear out fast on pavement. i drive on pavement about 75% of the time and i am looking for the longest lasting tire possible. i don't mind giving up a little traction to do so either as i usually run bald talons on my rustler and i like drifting on-power around the turns.

so, ideally, i want a 4"-4.4" tire that will last as long as possible on pavement. i don't care if the tire has no grip in dirt or grass as that is what the stock tires will be for. i was looking at the dirt hawgs, but i've seen them wear out on a weak nitro x-cellerator. so, the main goal is longevity on pavement.

edit: also, i am trying to figure out which pinion gears i'll need by using the speed calculator and i want to know the stock tire size, the stock spur gear size and the diff ratio.

would a 20c 3000mah lipo be sufficient for running a KD 36-60 3000kv motor, or should i get a 30c 3000-3300mah lipo?

thanks for all the help

if your lookn for large dia. tire that will fit the hex and last forever ive run slash wheels and tires on my rcm .5 and they even hookup fairly well . you just need to adjust your sway bars to full tension and limit the droop to arms level or slightly negative so the thing wont traction roll all over the place. then gear it down two teeth so it wont runto hot
