Dumb question: use thread lock on FLM parts? - 08.13.2009, 05:15 PM

Hi folks

Just a silly question... cuz I'm thinking about it too much... should I use thread lock on all metal-to-metal screws on FLM parts? Or will the aluminum be damaged by the thread locker (blue) and instead should I just let the bolts torque themselves down?

Thanks

metal to metal = ALWAYS use at least weak threadlock. dont worry aluminum will be fine

one advice regarding FLM parts - always check all screw holes if the thread is ok. on my old maxx chassis and bulkheads I had use tap on most of the holes. it was few years ago, maybe now it's ok.
