Actually, the Hyper mount does not work for the Mutilator. I have them both sitting in front of me. The hole spacing is different. Props to whoever said it fits.

Jammin CR Mount with Mutilator does not work - 08.14.2009, 04:05 PM

Just got the CR motor mount at RCM and it seems as though it does not work with the Mutilator. Even if I got the Jammin CR buggy center diff braces, which you need to mount the RCM mount to the chassis unless you have some sort of 1/4'' spacer, the Mutilator spur gear would still hover over the top of the RCM mount by about 5mm so you would not be able to mount the center diff plate. Then a spacer for the RCM mount and the front diff mount would be needed to clear the 62 tooth spur gear. I would also need to dremel the bottom of the chassis to allow the spur gear to fit since its being lowered about 1/4'' from its stock position.

Any help is appreciated, especially documented visual footage of the conversion.

I almost feel like getting the CRT mount and rigging it up somehow because the CRT X1 also uses a 62 tooth spur gear I believe, so clearance top and bottom wouldn't be an issue. I may post pics later of the attempted conversion to show incompatabilities.

I know of nothing that will cope with a 62T spur without some work. The CR is a buggy mount and hence is looking for a 44-48T spur - The CRT is more suitable a designed for a larger spur but again the CRT as you point out has the chassis cut out.

The key thing is do the wholes line up - It is pretty easy to change the spur to something smaller and adjust the gearing accordingly.

Failing that it might be easier to use something that uses the nitro motor mounting holes.

I tried putting a jammin buggy spur gear (50 tooth i believe) on the mutilator diff cup and the diff cup is a hair too big. I don't know of a smaller spur that would fit on the mutilator diff housing. I called ofna a while back and they said the jammin cr and crt spurs will not fit. I'm probably going to just dremel the chassis a bit and rig some sort of spacers for the top so I can use the top diff plate to clear the spur.

CRT mount works flawlessly with Mutilator 62T. Direct drop-in, no mods necessary.
