RPM Skid Plates and the G2 X-Brace Chassis -

From looking at the pics of the G2, it's obvious the RPM center skid plate won't fit due to the difference in the design, but I'm wondering if the front and rear skid plates can still be mounted.
Are there any skid plates available to protect the center of the chassis? I'd hate to see that beautiful plate get all messed up.
Speaking of which, one of the obvious changes from stock to G2 is the placement of the batteries. On the G2, it looks like it brings the batteries flush with the extreme bottom of the chassis, which means the center clearance is now quite a bit lower. I can see where this would be a great boon to racers, but is that conversely bad for pure bashers?
For instance in stock trim, my E-Maxx can actually climb the 5" high step plus threshold to get inside my front door, which I don't believe it would be able to do with the G2 chassis. Granted, that's not a critical need, but it is kinda cool and it keeps my dog on her toes. ;) But more practical concerns in the yard are the big pine tree roots, my neighbors garden bricks (don't tell her!), and where the concrete of the street meets the edge of the ditch.
You would be surprised how little of a difference the center ground clearance makes for almost all terrain. The stock skid plates are already at this level, so if you weren't bottoming out on the skids before, you still won't. The lower CG also makes a big difference for things like hill climbing or high speed cornering. With the right suspension setup, the actual bashing capabilities are improved in most areas.
Ditto what Mike said. If you want to see the RPM "wear plates" on the chassis, look on our race skid product page and click on the slide arrow to see the second slide image.
Well I havent run my truck yet so I cant say from personal experience but I dont see there being a problem at all. At first when I say the lower tray I thought the same thing. I dont see it being a problem at all.
