Diff oil vs heat - 09.14.2009, 05:58 AM

Hi Guys,

I've just found a nice balance of speed vs heat in my 8T on 5S running 13/48 gearing, but I need to change the oil in my diff's as the tyres are ballooning like crazy.

When we add thicker diff oil to our f/c/r diffs (to stop our tyres breaking traction), aren't we essentially placing a greater strain / resistance on our motor's and ESC's and adding heat?

Well, a little, but nothing you can notice on the esc temps.
