4WD slash + MMM? - 11.07.2009, 01:03 AM

On the traxxas website it says "power up to the monster max and reach speeds of 80mph"

How many cells can that poor 3500kv motor handle? After looking at the traxxas website and towers price(yikes! but I guess...) I may buy one when they come out. The MMM sounds like an idea because I think 4s might just be the ticket, I had a slash on 3s with the vxl system but got tired of the 2wd. 3s was a pretty good set up, but I need my rc's to be a little more out of control haha.

the vxl motor is made by feigao and is not carbon or kevlar wrapped. you are running a risk on 4s and the motor will run hot. just run it on 3s. i got a huge power boost from my vxl on 3s just by switching to a castle esc. i gained about 15mph and gear crunching torque. the vxl esc is junk.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Well that is good and bad news. I am not sure why traxxas is advertising to move up to an MMM then? They don't specify how many cells to run either...Sounds like some "HPI" type claims to me

Maybe they mean to step up to the MMM/2650 setup?

traxxas, HPI...meh...same claims to fame...all pumping up their product with "white lies".
(white lie is telling the truth but not the whole truth)

this is the key reason i do not like either company, even so..i still own their products

E-revo 3.3 conversion, 249kv outrunner, 6s, MMM
the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in.
