The GenX is a fun pan car for sure. I use it as a "basher" at nite.

I'll get the stranahan-rc shorty bumper and nerf wings in due time.
I use 2s2p A123, which is near the 1s setup with the 3T motor.
Jacos are on right now as well and I use warmed up honey as traction compound to run on concrete.
Kopropo servo and LT-120 speedo.
32P gearing btw. Those little sand pepples eat up 48P spurs.
LHS is selling the genx10 kits now too. I prefer the Genx 10 over the Associated 10R5. Stranahan makes alot of hopups for the Genx.

6 KiloWatt A123 Racer
GTP-Pletty Big Maxximum+RX8. GTP-C50-6L Hacker+RX8. CRT.5-Pro4+ZTW esc.
24s2p EVG SX 49.6mph Ebike.
18s4p Raptor 60mph Ebike. 11.5KW

Warm honey . I made my own kydex bumper . It has a little more flex the the CF bumper & helps save the FR end . I use 64p gears on carpet . Yes john makes alot of nice stuff for the CRC brand of cars . I also use the manutech FR end brace .

I see your top plate is shorter then the one I have. Did you cut yours?

The honey works good for 5 minutes or so. Either that, or spray down the street with Grape soda.

Mckune design makes a kydex bumper and a 1s chassis for the Genx 10.

Holy smokes, you guys have WAAAYYY nicer stuff than me! Mine is pretty much all stuck and doesnt look anywhere near as nice as those. I will try and post a picture up when I get home.

Hippie

What is the purpose of the wings on your GEX-10? Keep it from launching into orbit?

Yes i did . It makes the esc fit & eaiesr to remove. Plus it eliminates any binding with the esc wires . what is with the chassis in the pic ?. There is no top plate .

EDIT i seee it is a 1s lipo chassis .

FASTXR

The wings are to there to protect the axel from crashs & also to mount elctronics on if you want more rear weight . Also you can move your body posts farther out for more support of the body .

True...much better handling now I am sure. I can't honestly compare seeing as I have not driven one of the newer ones

Here are a couple of shots of my W/GT GenX-10, not as nice as the ones above, but it isn't my primary racer so I don't spend a ton of coin on it. I think these shots are a little old as they don't show the smart boost. Here is a rundown of my setup.

CRC GenX-10
Hacker 10.5 Motor
1s SMC 4000 lipo
Hitec 5245MG servo
Novak GTB
Novak Smart Boost
9/16 nylock nuts (balast...not pretty, but effective)

Your car looks good . you should look into the center esc mount . It relocates the esc behind the battery & in FR of the motor . That way most all of the weight is down the middle of the car . Which is what you want for a WGT car . You can look at my pics to see what im talking about .

Thanks

I do like the center esc mount, where would I get that from? Is it a CRC part or maybe by another company?
