Hi, I have a CC Sidewinder esc. I tried it with a Trinity 17.5 sensored ( ROAR legal) motor and starts were a cogging problem. I have discovered that Hobbywing has a 17.5 non sensored motor. I tried e-mailing Hobbywing and a mail order place in CA but so far have not gotten a response. Does anyone know if this motor will work with my Sidewinder? The part # is: 17.5T/SL-3650. Thanks, Don
i dont see the point of sensored, it's just an extra wire for nothing really.
especially since castle's start-up algorithms are so advanced it hardly coggs at all!
yes that motor will work fine, just keep and eye on the temps as usual
E-revo 3.3 conversion, 249kv outrunner, 6s, MMM
the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in.

Other people do see the point of sensored.
Even Castle's great software cant reliably start a 13.5 turn motor in a pan car when each revolution of the motor moves the car 3 inches. That is why the Mamba Max Pro is working so good for the pan car racers - it has a sensor port and knows how to use it.
