RC8T comes with extended hubs so you can run standard 0 offset rims.

Why run a kyosho spur gear? Associated makes plastic spurs that bolt right up. I run a 50T associated plastic spur on mine

George - Stock hubs, haven't ordered anything from Tekin yet. I'm waiting to see if they get my RX8 finished. I'll call monday and ask. If they aren't done, I'll order a RX8 if they can get it to me before the weekend. I'm anxious to run this truck!

Thanks for the compliments Magman and Sower I've wanted a RC8T for a long time.

I had the 46T spur from a previous build. Plus it eliminates the lower plate and is a slightly lower gear ratio, which I'll need. This spur bolts up too, for anyone that wanted to know. I think I have another one laying around somewhere.

build question, how many spacers did you use for the servo , just the alum rcm one or that plus extra, with just the rcm alum one the front drive shaft is very close less than 1mm, thanks

I used just the aluminum RCM spacers. If you put the servo on top of the plate and the spaces below it between the servo mounts, you should be fine. Yes it's close. Close tolerances means good engineering!

I only used the spacers included as well and no problems.

The 5T was awesome, I'd like to try a 6T someday too.

Oh, and I picked up a Mamba Max Pro tonight to serve duty until my RX8 gets back. I plan to put it in a SC type of truck whenever I get one. I can't get it to arm on 4s though...I have no idea why.

Had to wire up a Rx pack with the MMP to get it to arm. Got it going and WOW it is FAST! Much faster than I had my Mugen geared, not sure how that will do at the track but we'll see. I would love to let it rip on a bigger track...or better yet, with a bigger pinion and some foams or street tires. I bet I could hit 70
