i want to try 8-10s in my buggy with both a cheap chinese motor and a nice high quality neu. i wonder if 8s is too much for the 1800kv 1512 neu-castle motor. it's "only" 53k rpms. if it is too much, i could always run 8-10s in a 1512 2y.

i crave high voltage setups like crack. i ran 6s in a rustler vxl. i used a cheap chinese plane esc with a 1500kv chinese motor....until the rotor separated from the shaft...
my savage would be running 24s lipo if i had a low enough kv motor and a capable esc. i have seriously considered putting 6s in a rc18t or a mini e-revo. i will most likely be getting a MMP real soon so i can run 6s in my blitz.

c'mon pat, we need a 8-12s capable castle esc. the current hv speed controls on the market right now are very pricey and not so reliable. also, NOTHING on the market right now does 8-12s AND data logging.

What's wrong with mechanical brakes and this esc (air)? I found just the yesterday, whilst buying a cd mount, that Mike has a mech brake set for the slipperential. Wish I new that before.

The standard (air unit) ICE HV will not work without a pistol radio adapter like the Pistix.

The surface unit (Mamba ICE HV -- not yet released) is designed to work with a pistol radio.

While patiently waiting for this ESC to be completed, I have a question.

For 1/5 application on 8S what is a good motor to go with?

I want to convert my MCD desert truck to BL.

Any thoughts on this Patrick? Being designed for planes makes me wonder how resistant to water it will be. Some of us can be quite messy. :)
