Took a peek inside my flux tranny -

I had some of the truck appart putting in the BP diffs and thought i would look inside the tranny to see the warn idler gear everyone talks about. Well i didnt see and wear on idler gear at all, but i did see quite a bit of wear on the top gear. It actually looks quite bad, and with only having maybe 8 packs run through it it kind of has me worried. Is there an upgrade for this? Ill probably pick up the TCS idler and drive gear anyway since they are only 6 bucks. Does someone make a beefed up top gear as well?
Good synthetic grease, or alot of people seal the lower case with some silicone and run some gear oil, or oil stabilizer. Just enough to have the lowest teeth submerged on the bottom gear, when they spin it will coat the gears evenly and not cause too much drag. Friction causes wear and some sort of lubricant will help cut down on the friction.
Are we supposed to put grease in the Flux's center tranny? I converted a tranny from nitro with the Flux idler gear and I've been running it dry. Would lithium car grease work?
Hey Linc what about that LUCAS oil would that be good or is the viscosity to thick
Thats the stuff, lucas or stp stabilizer. Sikeston34m has used that to good effect in his trannies... Lube up your tranny. Harold will have a feild day with that...
