Width between Savage Side Plates - 04.15.2010, 07:59 AM

Trying to negotiate with wife on a 5T...

What is the width between the savage side plates?

Anyone with the TCS 5T conversion know how what space - Length, width & depth exists behind the elecs box to mount a battery within the TVPs?

I was looking at mounting a couple of 5s 4000ks in parrallel.

Thank you

73.86mm wide.
64.9mm deep.
209.28mm length.

See my 5T conversion thread that points to my gallery on how I mounted internally some 5S 5800 Zippy Flightmax; these are like 150x50x40 and I have them laying sideways.

Bummer... well its no wider than a standard Savage X. Those are awfully wide packs for only 5S 4000s. 151x52x45 for my 5S 5800s, so thats only 90mm double wide. Sure you didn't measure height? :)

Of course its the same width - the bulkhead mounting points for the TVP's dont change, so the width has to stay the same. I'd guess that with some creative mounts, you could use pieces of your old TVP's to shim them out some, but then you'd have to do the same for the tranny, esc, and motor mounts, not to mention the steering mount plate.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

I wasn't expecting it to be wider than stock - Just hoping stock was wide enough :)

I'll see if I can pimp the lipos as they are no use to me now...
