Sorry about that, It just seemed a proper location to me having it a bit further to the rear. It gives me more room for my thick fingers to work on it.

I just tried the truck again with a fresh set of 3S lipos. My batteries were empty before That was the problem. With a freshly charged set of 3S, the thing is a beast and there's plenty of top speed. So with more speed I was able to try to get the truck to flip on it's lid when cornering. Couldn't do it. The truck won't flip. Beautiful. I'm going to have fun with this thing. Gotta make a vid of this truck running.

that sounds better. I know the powertrain is an animal on 6s and well worth the cash. I knew you're gearing or lipo's had to be off.

What were your temps like? should be 100F and below

Videos are nice, but there is just raw power made by the 1521. It's hard to capture in video. But I'll gladly watch!

Good. God. What a build! Amazing job MC. I can't believe you cut this by hand... on router table. You must go VERY slow. All the edges look great and everything seems nice and even!! Great job!!!

I didn't have enough time to run the whole capacity of the lipos but after 6 or 7 minutes of running, wheelying, speed passes and just fooling around with it to see what it could do, the motor and lipos were not even warm. I didn't check the temp of the ESC but the fan wasn't on. It's really nice to see that everything was so cool even when moving such a heavy truck. I need new batteries for my scales but I think the truck with lipos in it is around 14 pounds I'll have to convince my wife to film the truck. I'll try tomorrow.

I went through a whole set of Turnigy 5800 mah 3S lipos this morning. Not on the street and grass but in a construction site. It's a tough place for an RC with dirt mounts, gravel, rocks, 2X4s with nails, empty coffee cups and cigarette butts. But IMO that is where these trucks belong. Other than the first battle scars on the underside of the truck, nothing broken. Temps where 115 motor, 120 ESC and 75 lipos. I was having so much fun that I totally forgot to check for run time.

Still working on the vid.

I have the ''E''

I broke the truck this afternoon, one of the rear diff's outdrive sheared off at the pin inside the diff. I THOUGHT THESE XXLs WERE BULLET PROOF!

No sweat, I have a ton of outdrives from back in the day when I made center diffs for the E-Revo out of XXL diffs. And what a pleasure it was to repair it. Working on the LST is so simple and easy. It took me like 14 minutes and I was back playing.

Still working on the vid. The wife had to go somewhere today so I didn't have anyone to play cameraman. I'll try again tomorrow.

Language barrier! I don't get this one. I'm French remember? You'll have to explain this one in detail for me to understand

Those pins under the sun gear/the out drive pin, they are the weakest link of the XXL diff. I've read where a guy on the LST forum uses colbolt drill bits and they have yet to break, but now he's breaking gears.
I'll rather replace the pin than mess with the gear pieces and chunks that get all m ixed up in the fluid ?

I used to run heavy wt diff fluid but I've dropped down to 15K and i haven't broken a pin in a while now.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

It's not the pin that broke, it's the small shaft of the outdrive that the pin goes through that broke. But like you said, better that than the gears themselves which can in turn damage the diff case and mess a big mess inside the diff. With the power of brushless, there has to be weak links here and there on inexpensive parts to protect the rest.
