Problem with the switch! - 06.06.2010, 05:22 AM

Hello,

my friend and me are both driving the MMM 2200Kv combo in our E-Revos. They are running great, but at the last race we had some serious problems with the switch. Sometimes I have to switch it 10 times before the ESC turns on. My friend`s ESC turned off several times during the race!

So is there a possibility to eliminate this problem?

Thanks

Vic

We have all the same problem. Remove it and replace it. It is weak against dust.

No, you can open the case to change the fan, and you can remove the switch without lose your warranty, don't worry.

With "remove" you mean to heat up the point where the red and black cabel come together with the solderiron to melt the solder. should I replace it with an new switch or should I just leave it without it?

Do I nead an special solder iron and solder?

Thanks

You just need to cut the two wires, and to solder them on another switch, you don't even to solder them, just attach them together, it should the the trick.

Soldering on the circuit board will likely void the warranty. Cut the wires from the switch and solder together or put on new switch.

Cut the switch off & strip the wires back about 1/2", then tin & solder them together & insulate the joint- or just replace the switch with a $2 heavier duty item from radioshack etc. Not a difficult procedure and it wont void the warranty either- no special tools or solder required, they are only normal copper wires underneath the insulation, a 20watt iron should work fine + normal lead-free solder.
