1.5 Scale TVP's - 07.05.2010, 05:32 PM

I have been a long time fan of FLM parts. I have used them on my Maxx, Savvy, and now as you can see in this section...my Pede. When you talk about the craftsmanship and finish of their products, well there is no comparison IMO.

Well the reason for starting this thread is I have been looking to convert my Savvy to 1/5 scale BL seeing that Castle will be coming out with a system for this. I have looked into the TCS chassis and it is a great product and I have purchased a number of their products for my scale builds, but I am not really a buggy guy. I have also checked out the Kershaw, but upon further reading I have noticed that overall there have been problems with the fit and finish of their products.

Which brings me to my question if FLM is working or planning on producing a chassis to convert a Savvy into a 1/5 scale. I have been debating on purchasing there tranny forward brushless conversion, but wanting to go 1/5. If they do make one I would base it off the tranny forward brushless conversion and make it where you could either do the conversion from nitro or mount up your flux parts. Is there anybody else here who shares these thoughts??

That is some great news. Do you know if he is basing it off the flux or for nitro conversions? My Savvy is nitro but if this is going to be for the flux then I am going to buy a tranny from ebay.

Any provisions for Mike's universal mount?

I've been trying to call Jaime@ the shop a few times lately as I wanted to discuss some things like this. Jaime does good work.

I was going to talk to him about integrating some small cutouts in the rear of the TVPs for a rear servo saver/ steering rack for 4WS. I have a place for the servo too. Its rather easy being the Savage is modular F to R. It would not interfere any with normal 2WS operation, but would be an easy bolt in for a massive boost in steering (esp for the longer chassis.) It wouldn't be so much for the baja styles, but more for an extra large monster truck type vehicles.

Well keep us updated on whatever you hear, I will be buying parts here and there so that I am ready when this thing goes into production.

Finnster I am the exact same way, looking to build a monster.....not a buggy.

Well the next time you talk with him, please ask if it would be possible to put a deposit down for a chassis. I have sold alot of stuff and have a good amount in my paypal, so would like to put down the deposit before it disappears. I appreciate you keeping us informed bro.

Yeah I might have some bling to mine when it is done. Been looking at the extended arms and diffs too. We shall see, when I get the chassis then I will be a happy camper. Then I will start the build with the other stuff. My pede is all FLMed out...lol. I can't wait.

Hey Arct1k I just got an email from Jaime today saying that he is close to production....sent the email last week...lol. So I guess he has been busy. I checked out your project and I am going to be parting my truck together in the same way. All I have right now are the two diffs, so it will take some time. Project looks good by the way, love those shock mounts, might have to check those out.
