Maybe the LST platform works, but the savage platform is no doubtly stronger due to the design. It does make working on it more difficcult but that doesnt bother me, and once i have the centre diff conversion, i will never have to take the TVPs off to wrench on it.
I did notcie wheni had to tighten my slipper really tight that my diffs were going "Click Clack" when landing etc... but these BP diffs are so strong they still look brand new!
BONDO!!! if you can, cancel your order for the FLM Bulks... They are ok but absolute B***H to work with as they are not easy access and you may have probs with drive cups. Go with the Golden Horizons Bulks! They maintain the same set up as stock and are extremely strong and work with the Stock SHD Axles!!!
Link i have also been running huge MOABs on my truck for a short while with no problems as it is geared correctly. But huge tyres are crap anyway why would you want to use them? my maxx size badlands are the best tyre for grip! I only use the moabs for jumping as they give enough rotational mass to give great air control
Whip i was running the fully hardened tranny too and it was rubbish and expensive... Just kept on stripping gears in my tranny even though it was perfectly shimmed.
The torque your tekin produces is no where near the 1520 on 6s let alone the 9s i will be running. Just too many variables that can go wrong in the tranny...
linc, plus it is not necessarry to run the lipos in the rear, you can always run your lipos on the side of the chassis which is placed more towards teh front of the chassis. What ilike about this is that i can run lipos in the chassis and on the outside, so i always have plenty of room for lipos...

50/50 is not ideal for a monster truck. You want more weight in the front to help counteract the wheelies. Since you have a center diff in your truck you now have a completely different setup to what I was referrring to, a true MT with a transmission.
The savage is not stronger than a lst. I have both. The chassis on a savage will deform when you smash it good. The lst plate chassis is torsionally superior too. Up and down forces are not the only ones these trucks have to cope with.
Savage diffs suck. I tried them all and the lack of a solid diff case is the root of the problem. The lst comes with that solution stock, and you can run tin coated gears and al cups if you want a sturdy diff. Big tires reek havoc with diff internals, but really thick fluid helps, along with a properly set slipper.
As for the slipper, the clutch pack style on the lst is vastly superior than the pad thingy on the savage tranny. Mikes slipperential is better than the savage but I do not see it doing as well as the lst tranny/slipper setup.
The lst places the motor transversely so you do not have a motor torque twist issue to deal with.
Only bad thing on the lst is the steering design, still easier to mod that than trying to keep a savage together with a 1521 or bigger motor.
Until you push a lst you have no idea what the platform is capable of, how well it is designed, and how poor the savage really is...
The tvp design looks good on paper, but it is not that great in use, causes all kinds of access issues and leaves very little real estate to work with. You can hang some battery boxes off the sides but your batteries are not protected as well and the boxes must be bulkier and heavier to properly hold and protect the packs.
Nothing wrong with a savage flux, pretty good truck out of the box. But it will not last as long as a lst and cannot handle the power as well. Just look at all of the savvy users that put lst shocks on, they are better than the savage units. Well everything on a lst is as good as those shocks, and better than the savage. The lst costs more new too... Maybe you get what you pay for?
Nothing wrong with a savage, but it is what it is, better than a maxx/revo, but not as good as the lst.
