3 blowouts - 08.20.2010, 09:25 AM

No, I wasn't doing speed runs. It was raining so I was just fooling around in the workshop (on slippery concrete). The rear tire blew first and was very unexpected. Then I taped up both the rears (externally) and did donuts to intensionally blow the fronts. It was really quite amusing, they even made a small bang sound when they popped. The tires/wheels were Imex. I got them because they had a reasonably large diameter which I like for clearance.

I've got some panther meat grinders I can stick straight on but I try to keep them on grass and sand only. Soo , what's a good bashin' tire/wheel with large diameter? and long lasting?

Traxxas wheels?

If so aren't they kind of soft, as well as thin?

I know I blew out some talons on the E-Revo a while back, but never three in one run!

are you putting tire dressing on the tires? tire makers put chemicals in the tires to keep the o-zone from destroying the tire, if you put tire dressing on tires that messes up the chemicals that is to protect the tire.

The only additive was some extra CA glue as they were pre-mounts.
