Looks like you're going back to the Flux..
I say, save up a bit more, and pick up a Flux.. AND keep the Baja.
I'm assuming you haven't tried asking yet?

You can always suggest to sign a waiver which says any damage to yourself/bodily harm will be on you... I guess?

Looks like a cool spot. Get some people together and lease the land. Anytime an owner can make a few bucks on his land, he maybe willing to go for it. Where is this (which state are you in). Looks similar to here in Central California. Unfortunately, people get handed big sums of money when they sue you and win. Gates and no trespassing signs are much cheaper.

Sometimes land owners just put up signs in case someone tries to sue them. Otherwise, it really doesn't bother them that there are people on their land. You really don't know though unless you politely ask the guy. Which can be difficult to do for many reasons I understand. My bother ownes a property with a really big fishing pond. If he catches people trespassing he will run them off, but if someone asks him upfront he will usually let them go on and fish. It is all, how you ask sometimes. Even if the answer is no, you really haven't lost anything at this point. Good luck with it.

Man Freeze, you are a future hall of fame internet meme.

In the meantime, just enjoy what you have. This reminds me of this incredible dirt lot I had to ride dirt bikes as a kid. It was an empty lot where the all dirt from the foundations of the nearby housing complex was dumped. It was piled and sculpted into giant 30' mountains and mesas and made and incredible motorcross track by years of offroaders using it. There were tons of different circuits you could run, and different places for hillclimbs, mudbogs, and jumps. BMX bikes, dirt bikes and 4x4s all went there to run. I even took my first real RC, a Tamiya Falcon, to go bashing there, also my first real car when I was in HS to go offroading during lunchtime.

Sadly, the housing boom saw the land bought and built on and The Moon was no more. Not even a picture to remember or show people. Life is unfair, but it goes on, so quit yer crying and find somewhere else to play.

I'd say Freeze, this hobby isn't meant for you!

Just sell everything and pick up the EMO hobby, you'll be much better at it....

And a 1520! 6s! No way that can be a let down

DOnt worry man. I dropped so much money trying to make my maxx what I really wanted and countless dollars later still not quite happy... I agree with Zack, If I could do it all over. I would buy a nice truggy kit. IE Mugen 6 Truggy or Losi 8t 2.0 , Xray...

Good Luck Man, no harm in trying new things... Best of luck,
Sean

Talking loss of play space? - 06.06.2010, 09:19 AM

Hi guys. We spent 6 months digging a BMX track, when I was a kid.As soon as it was finished, the council flattened it,stating "toxic soil". Total bollocks! I bash my trucks on some hills locally, they're common land.I get people on horses trotting 200 yards to tell me to turn my Maxx off,the horses go Mental!!!.I normally use the same reply."Show me a sign, before you start to whine!" There's some waste land near by,But if I go bashing the police turn up!,go through my bag, look admiringly at the truck, then leave me to it!.

Man, you guys are hard core on 'ol Freeze. Granted he's in mourning cuz the perfect bash site is now off limits... right or wrong, it's still a bummer! Just because they really weren't supposed to be there using it, that doesn't mean that he can't be bummed out they can't use it. Plus, they were using it with the best intentions. It's sad to see it go I'm sure. Regardless of the liability reasons, trespassing, etc, it still doesn't minimize the level of sadness it must make him or his friends feel about it. I think some of you guys went a bit overboard with the "Keepin' it Real". We are grown men, and we don't need to be reminded of every single bureaucratic rule ever created. Let the guy express himself!

Don't be hatin' on him for heaven's sake! And definitely don't discourage him or make him feel bad for how he feels.
