You can buy one and try, but from what others have said, the surface and air systems of Spektrum do not play together.

Indeed, thankyou very much for sharing that info- answers some questions that have been floating about for a little while now.
Seems being a stick radio guy has its advantages, but I knew that already- this is just a nice bonus

I've got one coming with a spare 7 channel rx on the way. I'll let you guys know how it works in my Hitec pistol radio.
If you're tricky, you can hack it into any radio you want as long as you can find the power and PPM terminals. They even make a kit for it.
