Nah, It's this simple.

"Put Up or Shut Up"

All of us have ben pretty polite considering how we all know it's the normal BS coming from those guys. He just can't produce anything other than a video that doesn't even prove their packs weren't even used. Black Heat Shrink and a decal, Big deal, I'll tell a white lie for $500.00 worth of Lipos.

Has anyone seen more "proof" than we've seen here on another forum ???

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

NOPE I sure haven't. Honestly I only visit RCM & UE, but outside of this thread I have not seen any hype one way or the other. I just don't get how these guys can go into this new product sale and not post up some kind of reality showing specs of some kind to back up their big add (TRUE 150c RACE READY LIPOS) What a bunch of crap. I am sure that for the most part these packs can do quite well in comparison to their past cells, but in comparison to the rest of the Lipo market I have my doubts, and the fact that they have now ignored this thread shows that they are back peddling in the realization that they are not as good as they stated. I mean come on, we all know that there is no way those wires would handle the kind of amperage suggested without a major failure. The silence of Brandon over the last week or so says it all for me. He has no way to show anything to back this add up. Don't give us this shabby video of starting a dragster engine. Who cares. Just hook a pack up to a loadbank and show us some video of the load and how the pack handles said load with temps, amps, voltage and so on. Stop all the BS and as stated previously "Put up or shut up"

This whole thing is just another example of why most of us wont buy from Maxamps again.

I believe that none of us would buy one of their packs based on past experience with them. BUT I do believe that some of us would buy packs from them if they would and could bother showing some level of proof that these packs not only exist, but actually do work to the level that they are trying to push. Plus if the battery truly is a 75C constant, and 150C burst, then advertise it that way. Stating that this new battery is a True 150C race ready pack is just smoke and mirrors and a flat out lie from the view we have been given.

I know I would not want to buy from Maxamps again, even if Brandon came out with proof tomorrow. Reputation is everything. However, if these packs actually performed to 75c constant and 100c burst, I would have to buy the packs.

I'll stick to my Hyperions.

It's false advertising!

Think about it. If YOU came up with a "True 150C" rated lipo pack, wouldn't you RUN to the media to declare proof?

This would mean that you just totally stomped and dominated ALL the other Lipo packs out there!

Despite what Brandon said about them being 75C continous, they are still being advertised on the website as "True 150C"

http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...4-Pack&cat=285

If you read on down into the reviews for THIS pack. There are reviews dated 2009! There is even a review from 2008!

How can you have HONEST reviews from 2009 and 2008 for a pack that just came out? You CAN'T! Old reviews posted for a NEW pack are lies!

Honesty seems to be the problem Maxamps!

Illusions of Grand things, with a Grand price tag. But the truth is..............?????????

There's no such thing as bad publicity.

Theres no such thing as a universal truth either; if everyone on every forum is saying 'maxamps sucks, dont buy their junky overpriced lipos', its hardly going to boost their sales due to the publicity...

EXACTLY, Thats my thinking anyway. So heres a question? How many of you guys spend time on other forums and what is the discussion there about Maxamps new race ready TRUE 150C Lipo? If there is none maybe it is time to start discussions there too. Why not get a feeling for how people in general feel about this advertizing tactic.

Well I just stopped over at the UE forum and started the discussion over there, so I will let you guys know how that goes. I am truly interested in what everyone thinks about this whole situation.

Here's another tidbit of information.

Compare the size and weight between the 6500SS series lipos and the "True 150C" series Lipos.

Both are the EXACT SAME Size AND Weight!

Example: 4S packs in both lines of packs are 139mm x 47mm x 51.5mm, 676g

IMO, they just created a whole new line of "True 150C" hardcase lipos with nothing more than a sticker printer.

Anyone that's been around Lipos knows that for a higher C rating, more anode and cathode material is required. This increases weight for the same capacity. Example: a 2S 20C 5000mah pack will weigh less than a 2S 30C 5000mah pack.

Anything smell funny to you guys? Check it out!

They do think they are smart. Same 6500SS packs, NEW marketing Scheme!

That makes perfect sense to me. In fact when you put two & two together you get conspiracy. Funny how Brandon just took over as their VP of marketing director and suddenly they have an incredible breakthrough invention with this out of nowhere "TRUE 150C" Lipo. Sounds as if they were not selling them very well but with a new marketing stratagy they are hoping to sell tons of them. Funny what can happen when people put their heads together and anylize whats really going on in a given situation.
