Who can dig out the biggest jalopy and plaster a sticker on it?
We should have our own pic contest. Double winner if they can get it featured by MA

Except that our winner would more than likely not be the same as their winner . How about a great big pile of steaming dog poop with a flaming sticker layed over it. Sorry, I could not resist.

What I meant was give them a slow pitch of poop instead of a fastball .

Appropriate -
12.16.2010, 07:31 PM
Sorry. It just seems appropriate considering the circumstances. I can understand Brandon's frustration trying to win us over, but the lack of follow up and the fact that this advertisement of "TRUE 150C" still stands kind of gets my nickers in a twist. Its obviously a bad choice of words for these cells, and an out & out false statement. Needless to say if I could afford it I would purchase a set just to try them out and then share my experience, but at those prices it is still just too much $$$ for me to invest when there are competitors out there who have more believable ads and more affordable pricing. Until they can show some honest advertising, better pricing, and better quality packs I have to decline from using them. You can place a pretty wrap around a bag of crap, but this does not make it a good Lipo. If anyone has these packs and is willing to share some real time specs please share them with us. Its obvious to us that they have no intentions of doing so, which leaves reasonable doubt in my mind, how about you????

While these packs are not 150c or even 75c they will likely hold up to most setups and win the big squid shootout too... And most of the people who buy them will not have any lipo experience and likely give them glowing reviews...
So MA win and the poop with the sticker will turn white and stop smelling. So is life.

So if they are there to win over the masses, why are they posting here to win over the elite? Reasonable judgement (and Brandon initially came across as reasonable) would say you better bring the best possible arguement to win over RCM. If that was there best then (like I said) why did they bother?
The only thing keeping this thread going is people like to gripe about there lack of .........(choose and option - balls, proof, stats, honesty, etc...).
Anyone coming to RCM asking about MA will get an answer. You can only guide so many and MA will continue to make silly claims until the battery industry get some kind of regulatory body that comes up with standard 'ratings' with proof tested results.

Wow, what with all the poo talk? I get enough of that from my kids, or pets, or whoever else has befouled my house that day. :P
I was thinking more on the lines of some old Tyco or Rat Shack RC powered by MA for maximum performance!

I plan to stick the MA sticker on the old lead acid battery in my truck. They are the same thing, as MA batts can start a car too!!! So that makes MA lipos as good as a 60lb lead acid brick!!!!
Word to your moms, I came to drop bombs... on your lawn, and I do not have a baggie to pick up the steemers!!! Neither does MA. They shrink wrap their steemers!! Call 1-800-Steemer, and get some nose plugs, it is getting deep in here, and the carpet is getting stained!!!

Rcm lipos -
12.17.2010, 01:36 AM
I would love to see Mike start making his own line of Monster Lipos to sell on RCM. I bet he could do a whole lot better product quality wise, and give us a fair price. We still have not heard any real word on how these TRUE 150C packs perform or hold up under load. What a sorry Ad campaign.

I've been following this thread since it started and finally decided to post. Does anyone remember 5 years or so ago when "they" advertised GP3300, Nimh as, "These cells do not have "matching stickers" on them but are matched by voltage .... 100% money back guarantee to be at least 1.18's on YOUR EQUIPMENT." Very little information on test parameters was mentioned, no voltage-termination cutoff points and no temperatures of any kind, plus the cells had no labels on them to verify they were in fact matched and when tested the cells were average at best, showing average voltages in the neighborhood of 1.165 to 1.175 Volts. As for being matched, well let’s just say they were not matched at all, at least not in a way that other battery companies within the RC industry were matching cells and packs at the time! There was actually info and data posted on URC at the time about this.
They were masters of illusion, not necessarily lying, but working the edge of industry accepted definitions. My point, forward to 2010 and ask what has changed regarding this advertising method other than the cell chemistry? Answer - Nothing.
