Hmm...look at all your connections really well. Motor to esc, battery to esc and make sure they are tight and not loose if they are bullets. If you have some resistance in the system somewhere it can cause stuttering/cogging.
That's the first place to look, if all seems well then I would try to swap with your MMM and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't then I would say the motor might be suspect somehow.
Just removed the pinion and pushed the truck around. Didn't feel like there was any binding. Also pulled all the connectors hard. They're all firm, so maybe a cold joint.
I remember I had the same thing with this controller on a different motor, a 6 pole.
Really don't want to resolder all the connections right now...
Oh yea I forgot to ask, what firmware version are you using? Anything beyond 1.24 has always had major throttle problems. My MMM was having throttle glitch issues just like you say after I upgraded to the latest firmware and I did not know that was the problem till I read on the forums of other people having the same problem so I went back to 1.24 and the problem went away.
No problem, glad I could be of help As soon as I received my MMPro and put it in my evader I upgraded to the latest firmware but did not like how on startup it would surge the throttle when trying to crawl around. Went back down to 1.24 I can now drive around my evader at a baby's pace with no constant surging.
