Well I had a bit of a set back last night. I was reading one of the threads about slippers. The guy has a heavier truck and was having lots of trouble with the slipper just spinning. He rebuilt it and really tried to tighten down the retaining ring to put more presure on the pressure plates. Well I tried to do the same and both of the wave springs broke on me. I have more on order and I might try to add an extra wave spring unless you guys think that is a bad idea.

Don't go with the extra spring. Go this route,

http://kershawdesigns.com/

Once at the page click products, click new emaxx, bottom left click "Heavy Duty Slipper Spring" Hope this works for you.

You bringing this topic up reminded me that I need to get one ordered. I've been meaning to order one for a long time but kept getting sidetracked with other areas of the vehicle.

Is this designed to be used with Mike's slipper?

No, it is not- KD's heavy duty spring is only for the stock emaxx transmission- the spring in Mike's Slipperential unit is about 3 times larger & totally different...

Well guys, I made some great progress today. I have begun final assembly this morning. I have all the parts that I need. unless I break something. I have been able to reassemble the the chassis. I got the front and rear diffs sorted out. I reassembled the slipperential and put 300k diff oil in there. I have the main chassis the center diff mounted as well as the front and rear diffs. I was able to pick up a set of UE Titanium CVD's last week on Ebay (95.00 US and in great shape). They are mounted as well. I will post picks soon. My youngest son turns one on Tuesday(Happy Birthday Ethan) and we are having his party today so as you guys can imagine I won't get any more time on it today. I hope to have most of the truck assembled tomorrow.
Mike.

Well this is the progress so far. I'm just trying to make sure I take my time and do this right. I'm using locktite on everything and going slow.

So I had the chance to work on it a little more. I was able to reassemble the shocks and put 80wt. oil in them. I put the wheels and receiver box just to show what they will look like. I put the cross braces on the front and back, and I put Locktite on more of the parts.

Looks really great!! Are you planning to run/bash this thing or is it going to be a shelf queen?

I will run this thing, hopefully not into a tree. Thank you for the compliment your threads among others have been the inspiration for this truck. Yeah I did not spend all this money and put in all this effort to have this thing sit around and collect dust!!!!
Mike.

Wow that truck is turning out great. My FLM emaxx will only be the chassis, motor mount (if I can find where I put it), hybrid bulkheads and that's it so far but your shocks have caught my eye though. Where did you get the shocks? Are they the FLM shocks or ??

I see in the photos that you posted in the latter part pa the pics that there's a red flat plate. What is this plate for ?
