hello all, im refering to the small electric ones that flies indoors. i was wondering if anyone can recommend me a nice one for under $100. i have bought one of those $20 ones that recharges from the remote and that didnt last long. the batteries die way too quick and it was hard to fly for some reason.
MH-35 Ultra-Micro Helicopter RTF
I have one and its a blast easy to fly and fun to do aerial battles with.
Takes a good beating and has optional glow in the dark parts for that all impressive oooooo factor .
You can find one now a days for under $100 online
E-Flight tandem rescue was down to ~75$. Very fun and stable heli.
I've also found that the cheap syma helis you can find at many local places are decent. You def want to get one with a gyro.
This little heli is awesome. So stable that I hand launch it and sometimes take a pause, take my hand off the remote to take swing of beer and then just get back to it. The heli wont budge an inch during this time as long as you have it trimmed out properly. Cheap enough and I haven't broken a thing on it in maybe 100 flights now. Comes with spare blades although I haven't had the need for them. Also comes with USB cable for charging the battery. The remote has a USB socket on it for charging but I use the USB socket on my PC since it is on all the time and that saves the batteries in the remote.
thanks for all the replys.
ill take a look at all these when i get home from work tonight.
but sounds like i have a few options. the only double response i heard was the mcx and mcr so thats good news, BUT since you say its more advance, im skeptical now.
and yes, this is gonna be flown in the living room, dining room , family room ...all over ...with 40 foot ceilings so its gonna be a blast.
maybe thats why that cheap $20 was so hard to fly, dont think it had a gyro.
mCX is ok but slow! mSR I didn't find to be any harder to fly and would still hover with no hands when trimmed. The mSR is much faster and you have to use less stick input until your used to it or there is a training mode on the remote that cuts all responses in half. The mSR was a little more money but came with a wall charger that would charge 4 batteries at once and came with 2 instead of 1 battery vs the mCX. Both of these are a little out of your budget but they are good helis. I sold both of mine cause I was bored with them, I have much more fun with cars, trucks, and boats.
im either going with the msr or the tandem rescue looks cool cus its different looking.
after looking at these heli's. i decided id buy one for my girlfriends son for christmas.
i didnt realize there were soooo many brands out there. when i looked on ebay and amazon. tons of them came up.
i cant seem to see what the difference are with all these. i mean if it has a gyro, then arent they all the same now? i mean do they fly faster, or batteries last longer, or what is it?
Quality is a big deal when it comes to these. While the cheaper ones can fly they tend to not do near as well and when they break, good luck getting parts.
With a heli, it's not if you are going to crash it's when. The eflite blade parts are available at almost every hobby shop that has planes/helis and from almost every major retailer on the web.
You can pick them up used for under 100 most of the time.
These kind are hit or miss. Have 2 that work perfectly and fly very well. Friend got one with a dead motor....next one he stripped some gears (his fault this time). No replacement parts....
But they work fine when working. You can even find them locally and rebranded. Seen them as cheap as $20 (when I bought them locally) and as expensive as $70 (HAHAHA).
