Question Brushless Motor Mount - Losi 8ight-T 1.0 (conversion) - 03.22.2012, 08:18 AM

I bought a used Losi 8ight-T 1.0 (#LOSB0083) that I want to convert to brushless.

I know Losi has their LOSA0912 conversion kit but I want a better motor mount that can take a wider range of different sized pinions.

The RC-Monster Brushless Motor Mount - Losi 8 looks like the motor mount I need. It does fit the 8ight-T too, right? I like this: "Spacer lifts diff assembly to allow stock spur gear clearance". Anyone has any experience with this? Is it plenty strong for the job? Not bending or anything?

I compiled this short list of parts. I think it covers a conversion pretty well, doesn't it (I excluded the radio/servo tray - I'll just modify the nitro tray and save a few $)?:

- Brushless Motor Mount - Losi 8

- LOSA4462 Motor Brace & Diff Plates

- LOSA4461 Losi 8IGHT-E Battery Tray

- LOSA4463 Losi Battery Straps

- 2 x LOSA6262

- LOSA6264

- LOSA6351

- LOSA6270

The total $ amount is the same as the LOSA0912.

nitrostarter is both right and wrong. You can't post prices in "for sale" threads. In for sale threads you must discuss price via pm. Maybe he mistook your question as a for sale thread. You can post prices all you want when asking questions.

To answer your question- definitely go with the Rc-M mount! Mike doesn't make anything that isn't strong enough. Get those parts ordered!

Yes, I agree, I just used an RC-Monster Conversion for an MBX5 and it worked flawlessly, I think they are the best conversions on the market.

I still have mine in my 8T plus RCM pinions...all still going strong after much bashing & speed runs. Zero complaints from me
