Traxxas has obviously been serious on the R&D front this past year. Looks like a nice model to me. I know several locals who drag and am looking forward to their feedback.
All joking aside, kudos to traxxas! They not only just came out with a pretty cool looking brand new vehicle, they also made competition easy with the timing system.
I imagine parking lot drag strips all across america! That, my r/c friends, would be pretty damn cool!

2650 might be too much weight and hinder with the acceleration from too much torque. You could go with a cheaper Losi version of the stock motor, which is about 2800kv/5mm shaft and around 60bucks(I have one). You gain some rpm and and keep the same weight. But this is just thinking out loud as I don't have a roller yet. I am weary about that 1/8 shaft motor and having no clutch.
I can't say that i'm not intrigued, but why a dragster? Traxxas could build a ST, using the Jato platform and still get 70 out of it. I understand the reason, they now sponsor NHRA and John Force racing.
Gripes aside, It's nice to see a company that is thriving in this economy. Too bad they out-scource everything but distribution
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
