Doable, i made one for my savage as well. (from 3mm thick black plastic)

On my cf chassis i use a 1mm thick aluminum plate, held in place by double sided tape.

Stock screws won't fit, because they are not machined.. and they are too soft too, you will ruin your braces with it.

Did you included the front and the rear upperdeck in your calculations?

if youre talking about the cost of the thing...

G2 Aluminum Lower Plate 60.00
2 G2 Aluminum X-Braces 76.00
Black Cell Pads 6.00
G2 Carbon Servo Plate 26.00
G2 Carbon Rear Plate 22.00
Blue XL Battery Straps 12.00
Replacement blue anodized hex screws 13.00
Total Cost 215.00

vs

Full G2 aluminum Kit 189.00
G2 Carbon Servo Plate 26.00
G2 Carbon Rear Plate 22.00
Total Cost: 237.00 + some really cool-looking paperweights which I'm sure noone would want to pay $42+shipping for

Why not buy the carbon fiber right of the get go. Run the bottom carbon fiber plate until it breaks.

Peace!

I dont want just the CF kit, plus mix and matching certain pieces will save a little and looks better IMO.
