A 1950 8t on 6s lipo should be pretty quick. Should push in the mid 40 or faster if you want depending on the gearing you select.
Peace!

I think you might need higher than that, like a 16 or 18T pinions

Yea, a 16 or 18 would be in order.
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

6s 1950 with the stock revo diffs I would go with the 15 to start out on. I am not sure on the tire you will be running though.
Peace!

i'll be running 40 crimes/wabash and dace adapters most of the time, here and ther i'll run road rage/wabash so i don't ruin the crimes on asphalt. i'll start with the 15t. what temp should i look for to be in the safe zone? how else will i be able to tell if its geared correctly?

The cooler the better. I ran a few numbers and came up with about 40 mph with no tire ballooning. I think you will get a little more out of it than that.
It was a little over 40mph to.
Peace!

Yes, the tires should be taped, its very affective, no ballooning if done right!

I wrapped mine twice with duct tape. It worked like a charm. I went with the 15 tooth pinion with 51 tooth spur. 2nd gear as well. that was with the crimes to.
Peace!
