Dear Rc-Monster people, i am extremely sorry for the last couple of days , i dont know what i want any more, i want to start a project called CF Monster. I am in the process of cleaning my things, Mike, how well would the MSR5 shocks work with the 3 hole piston? I will keep you guys updated.

The three hole pistons will need a very heavy oil to provide good dampening. I use the one hole pistons with 80-100 weight oil, as the piston holes are very large in these shocks. When using the g3 suspension, you can get away with less oil, as the leverage dampening provided by this suspension is very effective.

thanks Mike right now i am using the 1 hole piston and 70 weight oil, what is that black spongy thing that came with the shocks?

That is for volume compensation. They go in the piggy back reservoirs.

Will the shocks work without them...probably. I followed the instructions when I built mine. I have not tried the shocks without the volume compensation sponges.

I used those sponges with my UE piggybacks, they don't absorb oil, the air that is in the sponge can't get out either.

It is used to compensate the volume of the piston when compressed. Usefull little things. they avoid air to mix with the oil.

well i stripped a screw and i had to get it out and i used pliers, than all of a sudden, CRACK, well its ok, its not that big of a deal.

:( Stripped screws bite!

Next time try using a dremel to grind the stripped hole of the screw into an oval (or slot). Then use a flat head screwdriver to get it out.

Make sure you're using metric screwdrivers (2mm) for that type of screw. A good set of tools will make your screws last longer. Also, as soon as you notice stripping get rid of the screw.

The screws in the chassis kit are fairly tough - I'm surprised you've already stripped one.

Let me know if you'll need a replacement on you servo plate - I do have them in stock.

yup, stripped screws do bite, no george, your screws are awesome, i used these cheesy screws (silver) that had horrilble hexes, i switched to the black screws and they are fine, i will get a replacement somtime, thanks for the great quality :cool:
