You can get like a li saver for the cutoff. Mike was supposed to get some in but never got a response from company.

Peace!

My Schulze 18.149 has a lipo cutoff voltage, however, I dont know if its gonna handle the 6s pack. Promod did tell me that he ran very high voltage in his 12.97 and 18.97 without any troubles, but I'm a bit worried. I'm not that lucky.

I don't know about the 18.149 but my 18.97 has a cutoff for lowvoltage but not lipo.

Peace!

if you havent got a charger yet and your going to run 2 3s packs to make up 6s in the truck then you could go with a mrc 977. ive got one and i love it it will do 2 3s packs at once even if there a diff mah plus if your packs can take it, it will charge each pack at 5amps plus its only like $120 :)

the 989 is a little better and is worth the wait. its only gonna be 75 and can charge 8s lipo or 20 nimh cells.

I'm already fixing my eyes on the Thunder Power charger and Balancer. I'm also leaning toward the Schulze chargers.

Coolhandcountry: have you ever ran or over celled your 18.97 esc?

your timeframe is beating mine, i am going on 1.5 years now with 2 projects :005: finally 95% done or so on my Rustler 1/8 buggy thing, and about 80% done on the Dual lehner 4200 Wild Dagger.

i just got a Duratrax Ice because it was rec'd by so many people everywhere for lipos. i did get the 25amp Radio Shack power supply for it as well, total $220 for both.

You can use a stand-alone balancer. In reality, that's all that the Thunder Power 10cell balancer is, but it has a port to connect to the charger. That setup is the ultimate in safety, and will give the longest pack life because it will keep the cells balanced very well.

Just FYI
The FMA Cellpro and BlanaceProHD chargers have adapters for PQ and TP packs.
