My son has currently 2 Maxx, one stocker and one BL GA.
I love the GA chassis, it has a lot of advantages. But if you are only 9 years old, the straps are not optimal. A young child has not enough force. Now for this reason DAFNI is helping my modifying the "holders".
However the day will come, when the stock chassis on my stocker will be gone. For this reason I am currently thinking which chassis I should purchase for the replacement in the future.
Mike carries this FLM chassis (Extended E-Maxx Chassis). Sounds interessting based on the extension. Does somebody of you use this chassis and have any experience with the holders of the akkus?
If yes, here my questions:
Is the mounting similar to the stock chassis with this clips, and is it possible for a child to change the batterie packs?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of this chassis compared to the GA?
Hi Gusti!
Several members here have the FLM and love it, but you might just get the same problems as you have with the Gorilla. The FLM also uses velcro straps. Sorry, I haven't thought about this.
But like I told you, if you like the Gorilla, get the CF version, along with some TwinForce trays from Mike, and I'll see to it!
Those trays are very easy to use, and since you only need to hold 7 cells per side, they are perfect for you.
But if you would prefer the FLM over the Gorilla, I'm sure I can find another solution for you.
The FLM chassis is a very tough chassis but not as sophisticated as GM, or was it GA?- If you need a better way to mount your batts, go for the aluminum straps made by Mike and FLM. Its for both the FLM and Gorilla Maxx chassis'.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!
