Revo roller

After looking at some of the erevo conversion, im thinking of getting one. Try to look for a roller on ebay but couldnt find one. Im wondering if Mike can help me to get a revo roller? Or is there anyone here wanna sell thier roller?

Thanks sneeck. I already saw that one. But too bad, i dont have 550 to spend on the g2r. So im planning to convert the revo from the scratch..

Hey, this is maybe help you out. You can choose between their kits. http://www.revoulation.com/ I will be getting kit 1, it is exactly what im looking for. But for you, i think the front suspension, and the rear suspension might work. But if I were you, i would just get kit one and convert it.

He's also got an ebay store where you can get stuff STUPID cheap.. i get all my parts from him; he buys new Revo's and breaks them down into parts and sells 'em off... for example, instead of paying the LHS $22 for a one-way bearing, i got it from Karl for $4.99. even w/ shipping it was less than 1/2 the price (he doesn't overcharge on shipping, either - standard UPS Priority Mail rates, exactly what the post office charges him).

Karl is his name; great fellow, too! ever since I found him, I bet my LHS wonders where I went.. heheh

yeah its so cheap on ebay. I used to spend alot to buy savage parts off tower but now i found someone on ebay i can get 4x as much lol

When you buy rollers from someone, usually (in my experience) there are a certain number of parts that need replacing right away. In some cases, the damaged goods are so extensive, you end up replacing almost everything. Sometimes, you get a good deal, sometimes not.

Another option for those looking to build a truck and don't mind shopping Ebay, is to contact the sellers who part out new trucks. I did some homework, listed all of the part numbers I needed to build what I wanted on a spreadsheet, then contacted a seller asking what a total would be for all the parts I needed.

Benefits are:
- ability to pick and choose which parts you want to upgrade right away, usually at a reduced rate.
- satisfaction of knowing you're using brand new parts on everything.
- save up to 1/2 the cost of ordering brand new individual parts
- saving on one bulk shipping charge (instead of buying piece-meal and accumulating shipping from various sellers).
- you get to build a Traxxas as a kit!! :)

This allowed me to upgrade alot of components too (RPM bearing carriers and A-arms, alum. pushrods, etc.). So far, I've got about $250 invested in a rolling chassis, including Revo tranny, and that's all brand new parts. This was almost $75 cheaper than if I would have bought the piece parts from that seller individually - not including shipping!

I want to do a 2nd BL revo this time using the revo trans and chassis. Anyone know if the website listed above is still in business. I sent an email and it came back to me undeliverable. The Kit 1 from that site is exactly what I need for my starting point.

Like Cadtech said, when you get a kit, you end up with parts you plan on removing anyway. For instance, I knew I was going to use RPM arms, P2 rockers, stiffer springs, GTR shocks, Al pushrods, single steering, etc. If you get a roller, you paid for all that stock stuff for no reason.

If no one will part out the pieces you want in one shot, you can get assemblies from Ebay. Things that have many parts like the axle carriers assemblies, transmission, and driveshafts can save a lot of cash buying on Ebay. However, some individual parts are almost as expensive there as in your LHS once you pay shipping costs. I guess it depends on how much you'll keep in stock form...

Last I talked to Karl was a few months ago and I know he had put the business on hold due to a family illness... I would assume he's still at it, though I don't know. try calling him; 1-864-910-2206
