Lipo choices! -
09.24.2006, 11:58 AM
Hi everybody!
As the lipo choices multiply by day, I will like to know your recomendations for my G2R(BK 120, 9XL). I am planning on using 2 3s 8000 maxamps in series. I am little concern of the weight of those, as my present 16cells(4300) are a huge ballast. But now they are a lot others and the decision is thougher. Any recomendation would be great.
Thanks:037:

that's quite a fast setup you have in mind, 5S would be more than enough, really.
Maxamps seems to be a good choice.
If you can swing it, flightpower cells the most powerfull cells of this moment. 750 watt per cell in peak, and still stay above the 3V line.

Serum, are the cells you are talking about the 5000mah ones? Or are they something else?
As for the Maxamps packs, I would also say that they are a good choice.

Yes metal, they are the 5000's the other 50C peak types do the same, only with less power.
Their 4900's are still at 3.5V per cell at 100A load.. Pretty impressive.

If psycho is in the U.S., it may be cheaper to get these 5000mah 20-30C cells from another company other than Flightpower.
